Terex in the mining industry

Euclid Company was established in 1933 by the Armington brothers. General Motors kept an eye on this success of designing and building tractors. They decided to buy Euclid in 1953. Only in 1970, was the company called Terex.

Terex is an American manufacturer for moving, handling and lifting heavy products. They do this by producing heavy-duty machines such as cranes, aerial access platforms and earth-moving machines. They mainly produce these machines for infrastructure construction, mining, in warehouses and at ports. Terex has developed a few heavy-duty machines such as material processing machines for mining. It looked for a while that the company would be taken over by machine producer Zoomlion, but this idea was abandoned.
